Welcome to Photodork, the portfolio and blog of Sarah Reed: a Colorado-based art teacher, photographer and designer. Here is her story:
Since high school Sarah knew she wanted to be an artist. A photography class led Sarah to studying Photographic Image Making at Colorado State University. While earning her BFA she learned the importance of composition and gained an eye for design and color.
After graduating from CSU, Sarah realized that getting a job as a photographer was going to be difficult so she headed back to school to become a teacher. Once finished she started teaching at a small, rural high school.
She has spent the last six years developing a digital arts program teaching both graphic design and digital photography. This has increased her knowledge and appreciation for all things art and design.
Sarah spends her time outside of teaching creating her own art, hanging out with her cats and reading just about anything that gets put in front of her.
