I have been thinking about taking one class this Fall while working full time. I would work from 9-6 each day, and I am enrolled in a class that meets from 8-8:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So it wouldn’t be so bad. My original plan was to take a semester off, but I am feeling like it is important for me to continue making progress towards my teaching certificate. It was hard enough to go back after a 9 month hiatus, and I don’t want to give up. Plus, if I take one class this semester it will lighten my load for the Spring. I should be able to finish taking classes in May and student teach in the Fall. Of course I will still need to log a certain amount of observation hours, which will be tricky. I’ll have to look into that I suppose.

I am working a lot this week to cover some of my co-workers vacations. Unfortunately, we are still pretty understaffed and our computers have been acting up this morning. Thus, why I am frustrated and irritable. I have been here for three hours and have already taken about 100 calls, so we are pretty busy. Only six more hours to go though…

I have been reading a lot lately, and really enjoying it. It is perhaps one of my favorite things about working part-time. Mostly I have been reading books that Jamie (my mother-in-law) has lent me. She has quite the collection and has been very generous about lettimg me borrow them. It is nice that we have similar taste in books. Right now I am in the middle of “In Her Shoes”, which they made into a movie last year I think. I’ll admit that I thought the movie looked kind of dumb, but the book is very good. I will probably have to rent the movie now…sorry Dylan (since he will most likely end up having to watch it with me). After I finish this book I have two more by the same author that I think I will read.
I finally seem to be on the mend for good. I got my picc line removed on the 4th, so it really was Independence Day for me. I was completely freaked out about having it taken out, and felt like a big dork afterwards because it took one second and I didn’t feel a thing. So I frettted for nothing. I will start going to the anticoagulation clinic next week to have my blood tested and I will only have to go every other week…yea!!
Dylan and I are attempting to train our little ginger cat by using a spray bottle. So far it seems to be working. He has this peculiar habit of howling and pawing at the windows. It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t insist on doing it at 4 or 5 in the morning. I feel bad about squirting him (or I suppose I should say Dylan squirting him) but our previous method of dealing with this behavior was to shut him in the garage, so I guess this is a better alternative.
I am still happy about my new job. I might go full time which would reduce my reading time, but it would be nice financially. It is funny because I get confused now when my personal phone rings. It is hard not to answer it like I do for work. It always takes me a few rings to remember how to answer it. I’m a dork.

Well…things seem to have settled down for the time being. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they stay that way, since I have pretty much had it with the health disasters this year.
I am in my second full week of work, and really like my new job. I am pretty grateful just to have one, so it is super nice that I enjoy it as well. I finished training last week, so this was my first week on my own. So far, so good. I only work in the afternoons, which leaves my mornings free. I usually try to do something productive during that time, but today I got sucked into a Lifetime Original Movie. Oh man, it was so bad. And yet, I couldn’t stop watching. Curse you Lifetime!
Two minutes until I am done for the day. Things are fairly slow from 5-6 so this may be a good time for me to post. For now though, I am going to get ready to head home.

Well…I finally sit down to update my blog and find that I really have nothing important to say. Awesome. It’s not that nothing has happened, things have been super crazy busy. Maybe I am just too overwhelmed to put anything comprehendible together….I don’t know.
I started working again this week, which has been a little strange. I am doing some pinch-hitting type stuff for the bank I worked at for 6 years before I went back to school. It’s odd jobs mostly, but the hours are flexible so that’s nice. I was gone for just under a year, and there are so many people who don’t recognize me. It’s pretty funny.
It is also my finals week…ick. I have my biggest final tomorrow, and I have yet to start studying. That is the plan for this afternoon. I did all the assigned reading already, so it shoudn’t be too bad. I just don’t feel like doing it I suppose. Oh well, after tomorrow I will be free. Free for 16 weeks. Whoohoo! Although I am considering taking a Spanish class at Aims. I have to make sure I have something to whine about over the summer after all…
Well…I must jet off to work now. I will try to write a more complete post soon.

This weekend was wacky. Just full to the brim with happenings, which unfortunately didn’t leave much time for it to be relaxing. It all started on Friday, when Dylan lost his job rather unexpectedly. The company that he was working for decided that his position was not generating enough income, so they are basically absorbing it into someone else’s job. That person is getting tricked…but at least they still have a job, I guess. Dylan kind of got the short end of the stick because he was the last person hired, etc. It was a bum deal.
So, while I was in FoCo lending moral support, distraction and helping Dylan pack up his office, I applied at Anne Taylor Loft. You have to fill out a pretty standard application as well as take an online assessment, which is basically a personality profile. The best part is, I failed it. Seriously. I don’t really know how, but they called and told me I didn’t score high enough to be considered for employment in their store. Heh. Ironically, they were pretty rude about it, which made it even better. I mean, I’ll admit I felt a little flawed for awhile…who wouldn’t after failing a personality test? But now I find it down right funny.

Well, it has been quite awhile, hasn’t it? I really have no super good excuse, so I’ll just blame Amanda. Honestly though, things have just been incredibly, irritatingly busy. I remember thinking life would slow down once I graduated from college, but that didn’t really happen. Of course, I did go back to school, so maybe that’s the problem. Dumb education.
There is still a lot going on, but I thought I would renew my effort to be a good little blogger and update my site. Dylan has become quite the computer nerd and has said that he will help me make my page sweeter…so we’ll see. I’d like a new banner, Beda’s eyes look a little hazy in the current photo.
I am about half way through the Spring semester…and am ready to be finished. I only took three classes, trying to give myself a lighter load after last semester’s health problems. I still ended up with a pretty decent workload…and ran into some more fun health problems a few weeks ago. I am pretty tired of my body at this point. I realize it is probably sick of itself too, but still it seems to be one thing after another. I had some weird inner ear virus at the beginning of the year, which made me super dizzy for about two weeks. Then I spent about three weeks battling whatever general colds were going around, and I’ve spent the last two and half weeks dealing with something called drug rashes. These are very itchy, painful, bruise-like things that develop fairly rapidly when your body decides to reject the medication you are on for another medical condition. In short, they suck. Don’t get them. Especially if you are a wuss like me. At some point you’d think I’d just get used to needles and blood…but not yet.
On a more happy and less whiny note, Dylan is making me a clown costume. I am pretty excited about it, even though I really have no clown skills as of yet. I have tried juggling and unicycling before and had a little success, but I will need a lot of practice. I am also supposed to learn about balloon animals. He is cutting out the pattern for my overalls right now, I picked out some fun material this morning, so I am anxious to see them.
I also think I may have found a place to sell my felted purses. I am really hoping so, since I can’t seem to find a job, and a little income would be nice. I keep applying places…but nobody calls me back. It’s pretty discouraging…plus, I’m so awesome, you think someone might realize this. Alas…the job search persists.
I suppose that is enough of a rambling update for now. I have not done a lick of homework during my break, and I am slightly behind due to my brush with the plague. Stupid projects. Oh well…I will try hard to be a better blogger. Of course, I think I’ve said that before. This time for real.

It has been a very exciting hour for me. First of all, I just had my first bit of icecream in the past 6 weeks or so. It was very dee-licious. And, I just beat Snood for the second time ever. I thought that the game must have malfunctioned or something the first time. It is nearly impossible to beat it…but I have just done it again!! Whoohooo!! I don’t know if that makes me super awesome…or just a super big dork, but I’m going for the super awesome angle.
I started observing at Greeley West today. It was the last of my observation placements. I should be in school now just about everyday in some capacity. MW I’ll be at West, TR I teach at UE and F I will be at Ault. Except for this week…cause I’ll be in VT. Yea for me!
So…I quit my job today, which was a little more bittersweet than I expected. I had to quit because I just couldn’t keep up with school and work with some of the health issues I am experiencing. In that regard I was angry to quit, it has been difficult for me to accept some of the limitations I am having to deal with. But, on the other hand, it was a relief, because I’ve been in over my head.
I am looking forward to my time in VT this weekend. It will be nice to relax. Even though mid-term crops up about the time I return, so I shouldn’t be a total slacker all weekend, or I’ll be slammed when I return home. I suppose it would help if I got some of that work done before I left eh? I have about 5 papers to write I think. Ick. I liked photo projects better.
